Dr. Michael Papadimitriou

Dr Michael PapadimitriouDr. Michael Papadimitriou, a Canadian native, completed his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

He attended Dental School at the University of Detroit Mercy where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Papadimitriou completed a one year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He came to Chicago and completed his 4 year surgical residency at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County (Cook County Hospital).

He is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Papadimitriou is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he is involved in the education of the oral surgery residents. He also serves as a lecturer at Advocate Aurora Illinois Masonic Hospital for the dental residency program where he teaches dental residents about various topics in his specialty. In addition, Dr. Papadimitriou is an Attending Surgeon at the University of Illinois Hospital (UI Health).

He and his wife live in the Chicagoland area with their three children.
